UK companies could use EU AI 'factories' for tasks outlawed under EU's AI Act

It comes under a program to link research organizations in 35 countries — including EU nations — to "AI factories" being developed in the EU that combine supercomputers, data centers and a surrounding ecosystem.A potential gap in European artificial intelligence regulation has emerged with a suggestion by the UK government that British startups and researchers may be able to use EU supercomputing facilities for AI training tasks that don't necessarily comply with the EU's AI Act....
