Anthropic bid to stay book authors' copyright class action denied by US judge

( August 11, 2025, 19:19 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: US District Judge William Alsup has denied artificial intelligence company Anthropic's request to stay a copyright class action while it appeals his orders partially granting book authors' motions for class certification and summary judgment. "For all we know at this stage, Anthropic will persuade the jury to find facts vindicating it completely," Alsup said.
