South Korea's spy agency convenes AI security officials from public institutions

( August 28, 2025, 05:32 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: South Korea’s spy agency said it held an explanatory session for about 800 information-security officials from state and public institutions on the importance of, and practical measures for, ensuring the safe use of artificial intelligence. The National Intelligence Service said the session was organized to help participants better understand the current state of cyber threats and policy guidelines, noting that more than 60 percent of the country’s major state and public institutions have adopted AI. The NIS also disclosed the establishment of the National AI Security Center in February 2025 as part of its efforts to respond more effectively to growing AI-related security threats.The statement, in Korean, is attached....
