OpenAI co-founder must produce 'Brockman memo,' in US discovery win for Musk

( October 31, 2025, 22:56 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: OpenAI co-founder Ilya Sutskever must produce "the Brockman memo" about fellow co-founder Greg Brockman, in litigation brought by Elon Musk over the company's move toward for-profit status, a US judge said. US District Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers backed a ruling by US Magistrate Judge Thomas Hixson that Sutskever must produce the disputed memo about Brockman, which Gonzalez Rogers said "the OpenAI board reviewed before firing Sam Altman in November 2023" as OpenAI's CEO. "The Court agrees with Magistrate Judge Hixson’s analysis and finds that he did not act contrary to law in compelling Sutskever to produce the Brockman memo," Gonzalez Rogers wrote in the order.See attached document....
