US Anesthesia Partners and Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe have been accused of illegally monopolizing the hospital anesthesia services market in Texas. A workers health fund filed a US complaint claiming that the private equity firm and the physician services organization that it formed planned and pursued an “aggressive ‘buy and build’ consolidation strategy” targeting “practices with high market share in a few key markets.”
