Dozens of parents are suing Snap in state court for defectively designing its product to be harmful to children and facilitate the illicit sale of drugs and allow deletion of data related to drug sales on its platform. Plaintiffs claim Snap turned a blind eye to the drug crisis and even enabled an "online haven where parents and law enforcement are stripped of their ability to protect the children Snap targets and locks in to its social media product, which children are Snap’s most profitable demographic."
