M&A - Lactalis - Fonterra businesses

French global dairy group Lactalis’ is proposing to acquire businesses within the Fonterra Co-operative Group, a publicly listed New Zealand cooperative, both within Australia and internationally. The targets include Fonterra's consumer business globally and its dairy-ingredients and food-services businesses in Australia. The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission is conducting a review under the voluntary-notification mechanism.
