Technology - Digital omnibus package - Amending AI, data, cybersecurity rules (EU)

The European Commission is set to present a digital "omnibus" package based on a "fitness check" of existing digital legislation. It will include a series of targeted amendments intended to reduce the regulatory burden arising from the EU's rules on AI, data and cybersecurity. The package might include a proposal to "stop the clock" on certain parts of the AI Act while waiting for certain compliance tools to be ready.
