Arkansas, Idaho urge US judge to reconsider jury-trial right ruling for adtech case

( July 16, 2025, 00:54 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The states of Arkansas and Idaho filed a reply in support of their motion asking a US judge to reconsider his ruling that they don't seek civil penalties in their sovereign capacity in US antitrust and consumer-protection litigation over Google's adtech business. In their reply, the states wrote that "reconsideration is appropriate because Arkansas and Idaho have been pursuing their state-antitrust claims in their sovereign capacities, including to seek the legal remedies of civil penalties — putting them in the same position as the vast majority of the Plaintiff States who are, as the Court correctly held, entitled to a jury trial of those claims." See reply. ...
