Japan's MrMax says up to 1.74m customers affected by data breach

( October 6, 2026, 06:29 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: MrMax Holdings, a publicly listed Japanese discount retailer, said on Tuesday that personal information belonging to as many as 1,735,154 customers may have been leaked after unauthorized access to servers used for its MrMax app and online store. The retailer added that the potentially leaked data included customer IDs, names, email addresses and phone numbers, while addresses, birth dates, credit card information, passwords and purchase histories were not leaked. It said the incident had been reported to Japan’s Personal Information Protection Commission.Statement is attached (in Japanese)....
