NSC's acquisition of Coregas may proceed, after Australian regulatory clearance

( June 24, 2025, 11:59 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The move by multinational industrial-gas company Nippon Sanso’s Australian subsidiary, NSC (Australia), to acquire Coregas, Coregas NZ and Blacksmith Jacks, currently owned by Australian conglomerate Wesfarmers, may proceed, after Australia’s competition regulator cleared the deal. In an entry on its website, the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission said the proposed acquisition wasn’t likely to substantially lessen competition in the two markets it had considered. The markets were: the supply of industrial gas cylinders to end customers in various Australia states and territories; and the supply of liquid nitrogen in microbulk or bulk volumes in areas where the parties overlap, including New South Wales and Victoria.The entry on the ACCC's website follows: ...
