Natural gas inflows, storage point to healthy winter EU reserves, regulators say

The EU Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators said risks remained, including extreme weather, disruptions to major supply sources or geopolitical instability, but the expected expansion of global LNG production in late 2025 and 2026 may help ease pressure. In its update on the second quarter of 2025, it said LNG natural gas imports were a third higher year-on-year, while average wholesale gas prices fell by over 20 percent compared with the first three months of the year. Full statement follows:...
