In a statement, the EU Court of Auditors said that by June 2025, five years after the Fund's launch, actual payments to projects were only €332 million, less than 1 percent of its overall budget. The issue stems from its financing through the EU emissions trading system, which is uncertain because it depends on carbon market prices, it said.Press release follows.
