Honduran official pleads guilty to US charge in police uniform bribery case

( August 13, 2025, 19:11 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Francisco Roberto Cosenza Centeno, the executive director of a Honduran procurement agency known by the acronym TASA, pleaded guilty this morning before a magistrate judge in Miami federal court to a count of engaging in transactions in criminally derived property, according to court records. Cosenza admitted in a factual proffer that he had agreed with his boss at TASA to share about $248,000 in bribe payments from a Georgia businessman and his co-conspirators in exchange for their help obtaining contracts worth $10 million for the sale of uniforms and accessories to the Honduran National Police.See attached documents....
