UK-Swiss financial services trade agreement approaches full implementation

( July 15, 2025, 10:36 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The UK finance ministry is moving forward with full implementation of the Berne Financial Services Agreement. The ministry said today it would publish two statutory instruments needed to support the implementation of the specialist trade agreement between the UK and Switzerland. The two jurisdictions have committed to ensuring the agreement is fully implemented by the end of the year, so that firms can start registering to use it on Jan. 1, 2026. The trade agreement will provide mutual recognition of domestic laws and regulations to enable cross-border trade in financial services.Statement follows and agreement is attached....
