By Freny Patel ( June 25, 2025, 08:03 GMT | Insight) -- US-headquartered Owens Corning's plan to exit the global glass reinforcements business has opened the way for Triumph Composites and Quartz Fiber to seek merger approval to acquire the American company's Indian glass fiber business. The companies told the Competition Commission of India that they all operate in the same glass fiber reinforcement business, manufacturing various glass fiber products in India, and have also identified vertical overlaps in the supply of woven fabrics.
