Ryanair to appeal EU decision on agreement with Carcassonne airport

( September 22, 2025, 12:07 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Irish budget airline Ryanair said today that it will turn to the EU courts to fight a European Commission decision deeming unlawful its agreement on airport charges with French regional airport Carcassone. "Having waved through €40 billion of state aid to Europe’s flag carriers during Covid — half of which was subsequently declared illegal by the court — DG Competition has now yet again demonstrated that its enforcement of state aid law is selective and biased," the company said, referring to the commission's antitrust department.Statement follows....
