Power company DEI fails to overturn Greek support to aluminum maker at EU court

( November 12, 2025, 10:34 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Greek power company Dimosia Epicheirisi Ilektrismou has lost its legal challenge against a European Commission decision that a preferential tariff set by an arbitration award in favor of aluminum maker Metlen Energy & Metals, formerly Mytilineos, wasn't state aid. That decision was overturned in 2021, but set aside by the top EU court last year and sent back to the lower court. In a verdict delivered Wednesday, the bloc's General Court rejected DEI's appeal.The judgments are attached.
