Trump announces US-Japan trade deal with reduced 15 percent tariffs

Under the agreement, the US will impose a reciprocal tariff of 15 percent, instead of the previously announced 25 percent. In a post on Truth Social, Trump said that Japan will open its market to imports of cars, trucks, rice and other agricultural products from the US, and will also invest $550 billion in the US. The president hailed the deal as the "largest ever" agreement.
