Japan launches anti-dumping probe into steel products from China, Taiwan

The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Ministry of Finance will examine whether anti-dumping duties are necessary for nickel-added, cold-rolled stainless steel coil, sheet and strip. The investigation follows a request from Japanese steelmakers who have complained that the dumping margin — the difference between the export price and the normal value — ranges from 20 percent to 50 percent for Chinese products and 3 percent to 20 percent for Taiwanese products.
