China opens antidumping probe into US, Mexican pecan imports, Mofcom says

( September 26, 2025, 03:14 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: China's Ministry of Commerce announced that it has opened an antidumping investigation into imports of carya illinoensis, or pecans, from the US and Mexico, saying preliminary evidence shows the pecans have been sold in China at unfairly low prices, undercutting domestic producers. Imports have surged in recent years while prices have fallen, the ministry said, causing material injury to local businesses.
