China's Wingtech condemns Dutch freeze on Nexperia operations as politically motivated

( October 13, 2025, 09:34 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Chinese chipmaker Wingtech Technology said Monday it opposed the Dutch government’s decision to freeze the global operations of its subsidiary Nexperia on “national security” grounds, calling it a politically driven misuse of security laws that violates EU principles of fair competition and free trade. In a stock filing, Wingtech said Nexperia has complied with all applicable laws and is engaging with authorities to seek a resolution. The company said it would continue efforts to have the Netherlands revoke the decision and end what it described as discriminatory treatment of Chinese firms.
