Lumber Liquidators Case Highlights Lacey Act Risk

Law360, New York (June 11, 2015, 9:22 AM EDT) -- On April 29, 2015, Lumber Liquidators Inc. announced in its most recent 10-Q that the U.S. Department of Justice plans to pursue criminal charges surrounding allegations the company illegally imported wood in violation of the Lacey Act, 16 USC § 3371 et seq. On the heels of this announcement, some leadership reorganization and disappointing earnings, Lumber Liquidator shares were trading as much as 20 percent lower.
