Williams-Sonoma Workers Say On-Call Shifts Are ‘Wage Theft’

Law360, New York (October 26, 2015, 12:28 PM EDT) -- Williams-Sonoma has been smacked with a proposed class action in California state court by employees claiming they were regularly forced to report for on-call shifts, but were never paid appropriate reporting time wages.

Lead plaintiff Harley Shine said in a Friday complaint that he worked for a Williams-Sonoma Inc. Pottery Barn located in Beverly Hills as a stockroom associate for about three months in early 2013 and claims he was repeatedly scheduled and reported for on-call shifts that he was never compensated for.
