Modell's, Swagway Hit With Suit Over 'Hoverboard' Explosion

Law360, New York (December 11, 2015, 12:19 PM EST) -- A New York resident is suing self-balancing “hoverboard” maker Swagway LLC and Modell’s Sporting Goods after his newly purchased board allegedly exploded while its battery was charging, starting a fire that destroyed part of his home, according to a proposed class action filed in Indiana federal court Thursday.
