Riddell Settles Patent Suit Against Rival Helmet Maker

Law360, New York (July 6, 2017, 3:51 PM EDT) -- Riddell has reached an undisclosed deal to resolve its patent infringement claims against rival helmet maker Xenith, according to court documents filed in Illinois federal court Wednesday.

According to the late Wednesday docket entry, a status conference was held with the companies' attorneys on Wednesday, and in that same filing, it was announced that they had reached an agreement in principle to settle the patent suit related to the design of a football helmets.
