Former Law Firm Securities Chief Faces Fraud Indictment

Law360, New York (May 19, 2017, 1:41 PM EDT) -- The former head of New Jersey law firm Szaferman Lakind Blumstein & Blader PC’s securities practice was indicted on Thursday for his role in what prosecutors say was a fraudulent scheme to sell sham companies with phony CEOs, according to California federal court records.

Attorney Gregg Jaclin, 47, was accused of conspiring with businessman Imran Husain to create shell companies that were later publicly sold, despite the companies touting fraudulent plans for growth and being run by sham CEOS who were paid merely to sign documents....
