CMS Insider Trading Cooperator Settles Case With SEC

Law360, New York (August 9, 2017, 3:31 PM EDT) -- A former analyst at Deerfield Management Corp. who pled guilty to criminal charges relating to a scheme to trade on tips from an insider at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has agreed to help the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission with its related investigation.

Jordan Fogel, who was one of five people charged earlier this year for their alleged roles in the insider trading ring, is barred from violating securities fraud laws and may have to pay a penalty and disgorgement under the settlement...
