No Tweaking £700M Claim RBS Wrecked Biz, Court Says

Law360, London (March 17, 2017, 7:57 PM GMT) -- London’s High Court refused Friday, despite new evidence emerging in the disclosure process, to let the owner of a now-defunct property company include more-detailed allegations in his £700 million ($867 million) claim that Royal Bank of Scotland PLC intentionally wrecked his firm for profit.

Judge Robin Knowles turned down businessman Stuart Barrie Wall's application on the grounds that the process for amending the claim threatened the schedule for trial, which is slated to begin in October and run up to 12 weeks.
