Russian Ex-Olympic Wrestler Accused In Bank Cyber Fraud

Law360, London (March 20, 2017, 5:30 PM GMT) -- Two Russian men, one of whom is a former Olympic wrestler, were accused in a London magistrates' court on Monday of stealing more than £2 million ($2.47 million) through cyber attacks on banks then laundering some of their gains.

Vugar Mollachiev and Abdurahman Bazaev, who spoke only to confirm their names, ages and addresses, will appear at Southwark Crown Court on April 12 to answer the charges of conspiracy to commit fraud by false representation and money laundering, the magistrates said.
