NY Criminal Defense Atty Gets 18 Months For Obstruction
Law360, New York (June 14, 2019, 9:47 PM EDT) -- A former New York criminal defense attorney was sentenced Friday to 18 months in prison following his conviction for attempting to impede the grand jury investigation into various schemes tied to the construction company of his former client, a longtime associate of a New York crime family.
At an afternoon sentencing hearing in Brooklyn, U.S. District Judge Eric Vitaliano handed down the term to John Servider, 56, of Patterson, New York, who was convicted over a year ago of conspiracy to alter, and alteration of, records for use in a grand jury investigation.
