Temporary workers at a New York manufacturing plant aren't entitled to overtime pay for time spent waiting to start their shifts after getting dropped off by a staffing company's vans, the company has argued in New York federal court, saying the time is not compensable.

Two ex-workers for a temp agency said the company shuttled them to work early each morning but would not pay them overtime wages for that time, according to a proposed collective action filed in New York federal court.
