SF Archdiocese, Facing 500 Sex Abuse Suits, Files For Ch. 11
The Archdiocese of San Francisco filed for Chapter 11 protection Monday to manage the more than 500 lawsuits alleging child sexual abuse filed against the archdiocese following a 2020 California state law that temporarily set aside the statute of limitations for child sex abuse claims.
