A Florida federal judge on Tuesday refused to toss two former workers' claim that hospital owner Adventist Health System/Sunbelt Inc. had fraudulently overbilled Medicare, Medicaid and Tricare for emergency department services, ruling the plaintiffs had adequately backed the claim.

A Florida federal judge Monday refused to toss a False Claims Act suit accusing hospital owner Adventist Health System/Sunbelt Inc. of overbilling Medicare, Medicaid and Tricare for drugs and medical procedures, saying two former AHS workers had provided adequate evidence of the company's alleged fraud.
