The state of Alabama on Monday agreed to keep its Medicaid provider contract with Planned Parenthood Southeast, following a federal lawsuit by the nonprofit saying the governor illegally cut the contract in a politically motivated move.

An Alabama federal judge on Wednesday ordered Governor Robert J. Bentley to temporarily grant Planned Parenthood Southeast its Medicaid contract with the state back, which the governor had cut in the wake of videos allegedly showing the health care provider selling fetal organ tissues.
