The Seventh Circuit on Wednesday said a medical imaging company is on the hook for a $15 million jury award in a suit accusing a contract radiologist of failing to diagnose an Indiana woman's now-terminal cancer, saying the doctor can be considered the company's employee for purposes of liability.

An Indiana diagnostic imaging company asked the Seventh Circuit on Monday to either nix or reconfigure a more than $15 million jury award over a radiologist's failure to diagnose a patient's rectal cancer, saying the professional at issue was not its employee.
