The Eleventh Circuit on Thursday tossed Wells Fargo Bank NA Inc.'s bid to dismiss a whistleblower False Claims Act suit accusing it of defrauding veterans with excessive loan fees after a media leak by the relators, ruling the court lacked jurisdiction over the case.

Two mortgage brokers alleging Wells Fargo Bank NA violated the False Claims Act by defrauding veterans with home loan fees asked an Eleventh Circuit panel to throw out the bank's appeal, saying a media leak does not disqualify them from litigating the case and that the appellate court does not have jurisdiction over the issue.
