An Iowa federal judge has ordered the National Indian Gaming Commission to reconsider its analysis allowing the Ponca tribe of Nebraska to operate a casino on a disputed land parcel, ruling that the NIGC failed earlier to conduct a thorough review.

The Ponca tribe of Nebraska urged an Iowa federal court Monday to reject another bid by the city of Council Bluffs to prevent the tribe from operating a casino on an Iowa parcel even after the National Indian Gaming Commission approved its use for gambling.
