A federal judge has denied a Georgia construction company's bid for a favorable ruling in a multimillion-dollar dispute with a subcontractor over payment for work on a steam power project at a Louisiana factory.

A construction company has hit back against a subcontractor suing it for $4.7 million in allegedly unpaid compensation from an eight-figure steam generation project, saying in a counterclaim that it is the subcontractor that owes close to $1 million for breaching their contract.
