    7th Circ. Won't Revive Illinois County's BofA Lending Row

    The Seventh Circuit refused Wednesday to revive allegations by Illinois' largest county that it lost millions of dollars in taxes due to foreclosures resulting from discriminatory lending practices at Bank of America, saying the "long causal chain" it tried to establish "poses administrative problems beyond a federal judge's skills."

    7th Circ. Seems Wary Of Reviving County's BofA Lending Row

    A Seventh Circuit panel on Thursday pushed back against Cook County's contention that it could establish proximate cause from Bank of America's allegedly discriminatory lending practices to the county's injuries from the resulting foreclosures, questioning if those injuries were too far removed from the bank's purported misconduct.
