A proposed class of homeowners urged an Ohio federal court to reject Nationstar Mortgage LLC's motion for dismissal of the plaintiffs' excessive mortgage fees lawsuit and also allow them to amend their claims.

An Ohio federal judge has dismissed most claims brought by homeowners who allege they were charged improper fees when they paid off mortgages held by Nationstar Mortgage LLC, after finding Monday the homeowners lacked standing to bring claims on behalf of a nationwide class.
