A Kentucky real estate investor and auctioneer was sentenced to 18 months in prison for bid-rigging after federal prosecutors requested his initial sentence of three years' probation be adjusted because he filed complaints against two witnesses and the victim's attorney.

Two Kentucky real estate professionals pled guilty in federal court Wednesday to rigging bids at a 2018 auction for hundreds of acres of farmland and a tract of timber rights, the U.S. Department of Justice said in a news release.
