A commercial real estate firm can't escape a suit from a trio of Delaware-based investors alleging it suddenly stopped sharing documentation of progress on a joint real estate venture into which the investors poured $17.5 million, a South Carolina federal judge ruled, saying the dismissal bid is "essentially a premature motion for summary judgment."

A trio of Delaware-based investors filed suit against a commercial real estate firm in South Carolina federal court, claiming that the firm without warning stopped sharing documentation of progress on a joint real estate venture into which the investors poured $17.5 million.
