A Georgia woman is dropping her Clean Water Act suit against electric vehicle maker Rivian and an engineering and excavation company over work on a $5 billion vehicle manufacturing plant in the Peach State, court records show.

Rivian Automotive LLC told a Georgia federal judge it's not to blame for alleged Clean Water Act violations stemming from site work for its planned $5 billion electric vehicle manufacturing facility in the state because it's not the owner of the site or the permittee.

Thomas & Hutton Engineering Inc., sued alongside electric vehicle maker Rivian and others over stream pollution allegedly caused by the construction of a $5 billion Rivian plant, has told a Georgia federal court it wasn't properly notified about purported Clean Water Act violations and therefore the suit must be tossed.
