Mich. Offers Tax Relief To Workers Laid Off Due To Coronavius

Michigan residents with state tax debts who have become unemployed due to the novel coronavirus should contact the state Department of Treasury for collection assistance, the tax agency said Friday.

Individuals who have been laid off or had their place of employment closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic should reach out to the department to see what options are available regarding their state tax debts, State Treasurer Rachael Eubanks said in a statement.
