Conn. Tax Agency Extends Filing, Payment Deadlines To July 15

By James Nani · 2020-03-23 16:09:41 -0400

The Connecticut Department of Revenue Services has extended its filing and payment deadlines for personal income tax returns to July 15, the department said Monday.

The department said the extension for filing and payment for personal income tax also applies to state estimated income tax payments for the first and second quarters of 2020.

This extension, at the direction of Democratic Gov. Ned Lamont, aligns with the U.S. Treasury's announcement Friday that it would extend the federal tax day deadlines to July 15, according to the Department of Revenue Services. Treasury's announcement cited the global outbreak of the novel coronavirus, which causes the respiratory disease COVID-19.
