North Dakota is extending its income tax filing and payment deadline by three months in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the North Dakota tax commissioner has announced.

A news release issued Friday said the filing and payment deadline would be moved from April 15 to July 15, in line with the federal government's new deadline. Businesses and individuals affected by the global outbreak of the novel coronavirus, which causes COVID-19, will be able to fill out a waiver requesting the extension, according to the release.
