Philadelphia has extended the filing and payment deadlines for its business and real estate taxes in response to the novel coronavirus, the city Department of Revenue has announced.

The city's April 15 deadlines to file and pay its net profits tax and business income and receipts tax have been pushed back to July 15, the department said in a notice posted Monday. The extension also applies to estimated payments, the department said.

The city also extended its payment deadline for real estate taxes from March 31 to April 30.

As of Tuesday, Philadelphia County had 177 cases of COVID-19, the most of any county in Pennsylvania, according to the state Department of Health.
