Idaho Extends Tax Deadlines To June 15 Due To COVID-19

Idaho has extended its income tax filing and payments deadlines to June 15 in light of the novel coronavirus pandemic, according to a recent statement from the state tax commission.

The state extended its tax deadlines for individuals and businesses from April 15 to June 15, according to the statement made by the Idaho State Tax Commission on Tuesday. Idaho's deadlines have also been extended to June 15 for property tax relief programs, including reductions and deferrals, and a program for disabled veterans benefits, the commission said.

The extensions came following a proclamation issued Monday by Republican Gov. Brad Little to push back the tax deadlines, according to the statement.

This follows a federal tax filing and payment deadline extension to July 15 and moves by other states to offer deadline relief for COVID-19.
