IRS Asks 6th Circ. To Toss 'Frivolous' Tax Exemption Case
The Internal Revenue Service has asked the Sixth Circuit to uphold a U.S. Tax Court ruling rejecting a couple's claim that they were exempt from withholding and income taxes, saying they were raising arguments that have been deemed "frivolous."
